Het toilet in de kamer rook heel sterk naar urine. Werd op onze vraag wel grondig gepoetst, en was dan opgelost. Er lag nog een stuk van een lader van de vorige klant achter de rode zetel. Hoe grondig werd deze kamer gepoetst voor onze aankomst?? Het warme water kwam pas na 10 minuten water laten lopen erdoor. Dat is wel wat verspilling, niet?

Kamer fies, schoonmaak niet goed overall in het hotel. Bij een verblijf van 4 nachten worden coffiecapsules niet opgevuld. Personeel niet geïnteresseerd in ervaringen of alles in orde is. Heel veel stof overall en de kamers veel te donker

Eerste impressies niet zo goed - de televisie werkte niet, alsook de huistelefoon en de airco. Er moesten badjassen zijn, die waren er niet. Omgaan met de verlichting is moeizaam. In de kast lag nog een t-shirt van een voorganger Ontbijt was goed en het personeel vriendelijk

Fijn hotel, centraal gelegen naast de bibliotheek en tegenover het treinstation van Genk. De kamer was niet overdreven groot maar verder in orde. Wel vrij donker, weinig lichtinval van buiten. Comfortabel bed, iets minder comfortabele stoelen. Functionele badkamer met apart toilet, fijne douche met zowel hand-douchekop als regendouche. Het "persoonlijk instelbaar sfeerlicht" waarmee geadverteerd wordt, deed het op onze kamer niet. Het ontbijt was prima, met ruime keuze inclusief bubbelwijn, maar zonder echt speciale toevoegingen. Personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van de wellness-faciliteiten. Al met al een positieve ervaring. Als ik een negatief punt moest opnoemen, dan is het de prijs van het ontbijt. Dat vond ik echt geen EUR 24,50 waard.

Goed hotel, proper en zeer uitgebreid ontbijt. Pal naast het centrum dus alles vlot bereikbaar. Parking van stad genk ernaast 15 € per dag met rechtstreekse toegang tot lift hotel. Wij geboekt met social deals voor 120 € per nacht, volle prijs is 240 € wat ik gepeperde vind. Aanrader

De afgelopen jaren logeerde ik bij familiebezoek altijd in het Carbon hotel. Logeerde, want ik zag er de kwaliteit de afgelopen jaren steeds op achteruit gaan. Ik logeerde in de Carbon Style Deluxe kamer tijdens het 1 mei -weekend en dat was een teleurstelling. De kamer is op zich goed, goed verduisterd en een uitstekend bed, maar de leeslampjes waren defect en slecht hersteld. De wi-fi was niet beschikbaar en toen ik de receptie wou bellen was de telefoon defect. De regendouche was al een tijdlang niet meer ontkalkt en de nieuwe espressomachines zijn duidelijk van goedkopere kwaliteit dan vroeger. Toen ik uitcheckte was de receptioniste druk op haar telefoon bezig en kreeg ik enkel een ‘is ok hoor’ als antwoord. Haar blik week nooit af van haar telefoon. Voor 286,5€ voor twee nachten kan ik in Genk ongetwijfeld een beter hotelkamer vinden.
